Top Pair
A pair made by matching one of your hole cards with the highest card on the board.
Top pair is the most common winning hand in Hold'em, but its strength depends on the kicker and on the board texture. "Top pair, top kicker" (TPTK) with A-K on a King-high board is a strong hand; top pair with a weak kicker often loses big pots.
