Semi-Bluff

A bet or raise with a hand that is probably behind now but has a good chance to improve.

A semi-bluff wins two ways: opponents fold right now, or you hit your draw later. That combination makes semi-bluffs with flush draws and open-enders some of the most profitable plays in Hold'em.

Example

You hold 87 on 962 with a flush draw and an open-ended straight draw. Raising is a powerful semi-bluff.
